About Gallant

COMPANY OVERVIEW

Gallant Technologies was founded in Maryland in 2016 by operationally focused scientists and engineers from the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (JHU/APL). Gallant focuses on transitioning key products from the Department of Homeland Security Science and Technology Directorate (DHS S&T) to operational environments.

Staffed by cutting-edge researchers and staff trained in pharmaceutical grade production (GMP), Gallant Technologies is licensed to do experimental explosives manufacturing in order to produce new products, with a continued focus on capability enhancement.

Gallant was founded in order to bring technology-based solutions to the law enforcement community. Turning science into security.

CAPABILITIES

Explosives Production

Gallant Tech is licensed to produce explosives as the base of our training aid products. Small batch size coupled with high-quality reagents and analytical instrumentation ensure a clean scent profile produced by the core explosive molecule

ANALYTICAL CAPABILITIES

GC-MS with Headspace Analysis

GC-MS combines two powerful analytical techniques for the identification of volatile and semi-volatile compounds at trace levels. With the added capacity for headspace analysis and solid phase microextraction (SPME) sample preparation, our facility has the ability to perform quantitative and qualitative analysis on a wide variety of samples.

Thermal analysis

Thermogravimetric Analysis (TGA) and Differential Scanning Calorimetry (DSC) are used to study the composition, performance, and stability of materials by examining their thermal properties. These techniques enable us to measure the enthalpy of decomposition of materials and can examine samples for explosive content.
